9.Shariah Concept 
The product is structured as a Commodity Murabahah via Tawarruq arrangement, where customer request financier to facilitate the purchase and sale of commodities through the commodity platform for each request of Smart limit financing. Proceeds are then disbursed after all fees are deducted upfront.

10. Key Risks

Non-payment may result in your future financing applications being rejected. You must ensure you can afford the total payment at the end of the financing term.

11. Late Payment Charges
In accordance with Shariah principles:

  • No compounding
  • A late payment charge shall be applied at a rate of 10% per annum on the overdue balance. Late payment charges are calculated based on Compensation (Ta’widh) and Penalty (Gharamah).
  • The Ta’widh is imposed at 1% per annum, while the remaining amount will be recognized as a Penalty (Gharamah) and will be channelled to charity.
  • The combined rate of both Ta’widh and Gharamah imposed on the overdue instalments shall not be compounded on the total outstanding instalments and shall not exceed 100% of the total outstanding principal amount.

12. Eligibility Criteria

  • Malaysian citizen, aged 18–60 years
  • Minimum income: Subject to internal credit assessment
  • Valid MyKad 

13. Early Settlement
You may settle the financing early at any time.  You will not be entitled to any rebate (ibra’) for any early partial or full payment.
